A Lifetime of Service.

A Passion for Education.

A Vision for Ward 4.

For more than 22 years, Ward 4 has been my home. It is where my husband and I raised our three daughters, where they attended our public schools, and where we experienced firsthand the joys and challenges that many Oakville families face—from school boundary changes to navigating an ever-changing educational landscape. Through every transition, one thing remained constant: the strength, compassion, and resilience of our Ward 4 community.

My journey as an education advocate began when my oldest daughter entered kindergarten. Like many parents, I wanted to be involved—not only in my children's education but also in helping shape the schools that serve all families. That commitment has grown into more than two decades of dedicated volunteer leadership on school parent councils, serving in roles including Secretary, Fundraising, Parent Engagement, Safety and Wellness, and numerous school improvement initiatives. Throughout these years, my guiding principle has remained the same: every decision should reflect the voices of students, parents, educators, and the community.

Professionally, I have dedicated my career to helping people reach their full potential. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, sports specialist, and owner of a rehabilitation clinic serving the Halton-Peel region for over 27 years, I have worked with thousands of families, seniors, youth, and athletes—from children learning to play their first sport to aspiring professional athletes pursuing excellence. My work has always been about empowering individuals to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and build healthier futures.

Education has always been central to my life's work. Earning a Master of Education from the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) strengthened my understanding of educational leadership, governance, and evidence-based decision-making. It reinforced my belief that strong schools require thoughtful leadership, meaningful collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Beyond healthcare and education, I have been privileged to serve as a health columnist for more than 25 years, helping educate and inform our community. Since 2019, I have also served as Treasurer of a non-profit organization, gaining valuable experience in financial stewardship, governance, accountability, advocacy, and collaborative leadership—skills that are essential for responsible decision-making at the school board level.

These experiences have prepared me to serve as your Halton District School Board Trustee for Ward 4.

I believe that schools are the heart of every thriving community. They should be safe, welcoming places where every child feels valued, supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. As our community continues to grow, our schools must evolve to meet new opportunities and challenges while preserving the values that make Ward 4 such a wonderful place to live.

As Trustee, I will focus on three priorities:

Strengthening Parent and Student Engagement
Families are our partners in education. I will ensure that parents and students have meaningful opportunities to participate in decisions that affect their schools and help shape the future of education in Ward 4.

Preparing Students for Tomorrow
Our children deserve an education that equips them for a rapidly changing world. I will champion opportunities in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, innovation, skilled trades, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies while maintaining excellence in literacy, mathematics, the arts, and student well-being.

Building Resilient Schools for the Future
The lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic remind us that our schools must be adaptable, prepared, and responsive. I will advocate for thoughtful planning, strong supports, and responsible governance so every student continues to learn and thrive regardless of future challenges.

Throughout my life, I have believed that leadership is about listening first, serving with integrity, and bringing people together to achieve meaningful results. Whether in healthcare, education, volunteer service, or community leadership, my commitment has always been to help others succeed.

Today, I am ready to bring that same commitment, experience, and vision to the Halton District School Board.

Prepared. Committed. Forward-thinking.

Together, we can ensure that every child in Ward 4 has the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their fullest potential.
